I didn't get to post pics last night because we spent the day picking up our 9-year-old dog from the animal hospital. She is on a month of cage rest (and lots of meds) to try to heal a possible/probable herniated disc. Has anyone done this before? How about when moving out of your house, taking her on vacation and then moving in with friends? Sigh.

Cage rest day 2 of 28. Poor baby. |
Here we are at the end of day yesterday! More iphone pics from my husband, the lucky guy gets to stop there after work every day:

Its shaping up really well. I love that window in your basement!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the dog! :-( Hope she gets better soon!!!
Why is there no walls between your garage and basement?
ReplyDeleteWill you have a finished basement?
They just haven't put the walls up yet. Our basement will be unfinished for now with the hopes of finishing it on our own in the next few years.
DeleteWow!! Things are moving along nicely!! We finally have some decent weather so they can work! Poor doggie :(. Hang in there with all of those changes. It will be over soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The meds (all 4 of them, geez) seem to be really helping. She doesn't seem in pain at all anymore which is a total 180 from Tuesday night. But as they warned me, the meds will make her feel good so she won't want to sit in the crate all day. That's now the hard part. 25 more days...:(
DeleteI hope your dog is okay now. You're making great progress with the house, to think that it was only last month when you bought the lot. Building the roof might be the most complicated part as it is often done simultaneously with wiring electricity and plumbing system of the house. [Pleasance @SheltonRoof.com]
ReplyDeleteShe seems to be feeling much better, thank you! I started blogging last month when construction started, but we bought the lot in April :) So fast, but not quite that fast, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteGlad your dog is okay! What do you mean not quite fast? From your last post, it appears the structure is almost over. I can't see a clear view of your roof, what material is it? I wish I could see it cause I know a lot about roofing materials, and I can give you few tips about it. =) I can't wait for your house to get finished. I bet you are either. =)

Aww... poor little fella got sick! Glad she's okay now. How's the construction going? I see from your last update that it's almost complete. What's the color and material for the roof? Looking forward to your updates when this is completely finished. B-)
